Post/Pre Surgical Exercises

It has been said that preperation breeds confidence. I will assist you in developing an exercise program that will prepare your body for the impending surgery. It has been my observation that patients that have started an exercise program prior to surgery have consistently out performed those who did not have a structured program.
There now is a multitude of research out there to back the claim that muscle has memory and will regain its strength quicker during the rehabilitation process.

 

After the rehabilitation process with a structured Physical Therapy program which generally continues for 6 weeks after surgery, the strengthening and conditioning aspect really has just begun. Its vital that the soft tissue around the prosthesis is strengthened to support it along with the entire body.

 

Now is the time to take your physical abilities to the next level to keep yourself independent and healthy. By following a simple but structured exercise program at this time you can take your physical abilities to a new level that you may have not seen in years. I can assist you in developing the program that is customized for yourself that will keep your momentum going forward and is not time intrusive.

 

Often issues regarding gait or your walking abilities have been altered after surgery. Posture as well has been compromised if you have suffered with a defective, painful joint.
